Convictions ?
Yes,sometimes sleuthing leads to the conviction of criminals who are found guilty and sentenced in a court of law.
Today,however it is often the "conviction" that is on trial in the court of public opinion . A prime case in point
is the 'Convictions' of Colin Kaepernick .

The United States of America was founded on many 'Convictions', debated in fury and fact over many periods of history.
The natural consequence was that some 'Convictions' held sway over others. Some were tranformed into ironclad beliefs,
in the foundries of enacted laws;many controversial and many repealed after open debates and some reversed after open
