The Great Job Search
Now that you've graduated this year or yesteryear,it's time to go for 'The Great Job Search'! Some of you have already searched and came up empty handed. Just when you had your dream job in your sites and climbed mountains to grab onto it,it seemingly slipped through your fingers! Don't worry! The experience of climbing to get there is firmly imprinted in your brain cells to help you make successive climbing attempts easier and easier. As the saying goes,"If at first you don't succeed..." If you slip and fall, use the pain and embarassment again and again as energy to hurl you toward eventual success! As for the job search, don't dress like yours truly unless you're looking for my type of job! Employers want you to be crisp, neat, mannerly, upbeat, skilled, knowledgeable, willing to learn, friendly and highly interested in their business endeavor, product or service !Or, they may just want someone who is serious and hardworking.A little technical knowledge would not hurt.A slight sense of humor may help you adjust to challenging work demands but don't over due it! Don't worry about being in a little debt when you begin your new job. A good job, a good plan and a balanced budget with a few savings and investments along the way will help you make ends meet.Mom and Dad, uncle Will or Pop Pop may give you a grub stake Also, don't be afraid to network and meet new people or even tap old aquaintances who can give you a good job lead or reference. By the way, anyone in Philadelphia,PA with job leads for paid film production assistants can send them to me at flash.mccool@facebook.com No clowning ! Some of my really, talented and interesting young Flash Mc Cool blog readers and proteges are eager to break into the business ! I'll even lend them a pair of my red gloves to get started !
