This morning at my breakfast stop, the cook to my right was wrapping my bacon and egg sandwich. The cashier to my left asked if I wanted my usual " small tea with sugar lemon".I turned left and told her, 'yes'. I turned right to get my sandwich from the cook and as I was about to turn left to pay my bill for my tea and sandwich,I heard the noise of a small motorized wheelchair.A young quadriplegic brother rolled up beside me.I looked at him and said,'What's up ?'. He replied," OK...I need a large cup". I gave him a curious glance. He then whispered,"I have to P". I urgently turned to the cashier to pay for my tea and told her to add a 'large cup' to my tab. The cashier asked,"What's that ?" I replied,'I'm sorry.I need a large empty cup for the gentleman in the wheelchair and I will pay for it'. She gave me a knowing glance and hastened the transfer of the cup of tea and a large empty paper cup with a large plastic lid cover. Sensing that the man could now handle his own affairs,I gave him the cup and the lid cover because they came as a pair. The man graciously smiled and quipped,"I don't need the lid."
