Is There A History of Policing in The United States ?

In the Land of Imagination, anything can be stopped and frisked. As an imaginary hoboclown detective,I decided to momentarily stop the dialogue on the violence in US Policing and to frisk the literary shelves for information and evidence of the invention of the policing service. What was found was not contraband but a bundle of informative literary facts on the History of Policing in the United States . There was no need to mirandize the suspected perp; no need to taser his grip on his manuscript; nor shoot down his points of view. The gentleman was allowed free passage, even though I jotted down his name and link in case anyone wanted to do a follow-up investigation. No, it was not about a cold case, rather information needed by the public who were in hot pursuit of knowledge of The History of Policing in the United States. Proceed with caution. You can pick up the investigation at the following link- http://plsonline.eku.edu/insidelook/history-policing-united-states-part-1

I Feel Your Pain

Does one black person feel pain when another black person is shot by police ? I would hazard to say it is quite possible! I looked for some clues about psychological group consciousness or group awareness. I believe I found a good hypothesis on the matter at the following link that referenced a book by Sara Ahmed entitled, The Cultural Politics of Emotion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cultural_Politics_of_Emotion Students of psychology, political science, law, social policy and even elected officials my want to peruse the book, given the trying times for race relations and policing in the United States today .
